Soon after the Rolls-Royce company was established in 1904, it brought out a legendary car called "The Silver Ghost". This fine auto was noted for smoothness and reliability. With production of the Silver Ghost the company flourished, eventually out-growing its original Cooke Street factory and moving to an all-new Royce-designed factory at Nightingale Road in Derby. Tragically, in 1910 Rolls died in a flying accident, but Royce continued to work, despite suffering ill-health, which led to Royce working on a part-time basis. He expanded the business with aero engines and a close friend, Claude Johnson, looked after car production.

"Rolls-Royce Motor Cars today revealed the first design sketches of its next new model. Known as RR4, the car is due to be launched in 2010 and will sit alongside the Phantom model line-up. RR4 will be smaller than Phantom and powered by a new engine, unique to Rolls-Royce. The design was signed off in 2007 and engineering development is now fully underway."

Brake dust is a hindrance to most car owners. If only it were the color of aluminum or chrome, we wouldn't care but it usually looks like a million spiders all had a simultaneous crap! One problem with brake dust is that the longer you leave it on your wheels, the more difficult will be its removal. The best thing is to use a good wheel cleaner, not to belittle just plain soap and water which often works just as well and a lot cheaper, but brake dust includes such ingrediants as adhesive residue, carbon fibres, and metal filings so using a good commercial wheel cleaner is advised. It is important to read the directions on such cleaning fluids and foams because, if not used properly, they may do permanent damage to the wheels. After cleaning the wheels, think about applying a good coat of wax for protection.
