In 1935, William Lyons founded Jaguar Cars which developed from the original Swallow Sidecar Company that produced sidecars for motorcycles. Jaguar Cars North America was formed in 1954 to develop a new market for the Jaguar car models. Jaguar is now owned by the Ford Motor Company.

If you own a Jaguar, you may want to join one of the many Jaguar Owners Associations in your area. The purpose of these organizations is to stimulate and encourage interest in the preservation, ownership and operation of Jaguar automobiles. They also provide a means for exchange of information, technical and otherwise, to encourage interest in automobile sport and competitive events and to provide social occasions for its members.
